This Is Us

MUSE is an exciting new art fair held during Art Basel weekend, which is, one of the most influential annual international art events in the United States. MUSE, embraces the broad spectrum of both the plight and the triumphs experienced in the Black and Multi-Ethnic cultures, by creating an exposition to celebrate these visual stories of difference and similarity.

 

Each year, Miami Art Week and Art Basel weekend attracts close to 100,000 global spectators in the span of a week with 25 satellite art fairs scattered across the famous Miami art scene. This is the first and only art fair dedicated solely to the Black and Multi-Ethnic experience on this scale.

 

December 6 - 10, 2017 marks the inaugural MUSE Modern & Contemporary Art Fair on Miami Beach. MUSE is a tent city of Art, at the unique 1111 Lincoln Road parking garage (design by Herzog & de Meuron) on South Beach.

Our Vision

To create a diverse art fair of innovative modern and contemporary art by cutting edge galleries, collectives, Blacks, women and other multi-ethnic artists. To provides a unique opportunity for artists and galleries who interpret, celebrate and comment on Black and other multi-ethnic culture aesthetic.

Why MUSE?

Without question, culturally based artwork is some of the most sought after and coveted works of art. MUSE focuses specifically on Blacks, women and other multi-ethnic cultures, bringing to life their rich traditions, trials and triumphs.

 

It’s a one-of-a-kind art show where artists and galleries have a unique place to display their interpretation of these stories, told through through a variety of fine visual art forms. The audience are people who embrace this culturally diverse art and are eagerly looking to add the next piece(s) to their collection.

 

It’s this combination of focused artists and enthusiastic patrons that makes MUSE unique.

Be Part of the Action

We are always seeking new and emerging, mid-career and established artists that produce a variety of fine art genres including painting, drawing, sculpture, prints and photography. The undersigned gallery, collective or artist will be applying to participate with an exceptional project focused on modern and/or contemporary art created by Blacks, women, and other multicultural artists. MUSE only accepts original fine art.

 

All applications will be reviewed and selected by our Selection Committee based upon the Fair’s overall concept, quality of the gallery or solo artist artwork in previous exhibit(s) and specific content from the submit application.
